If your battery has been acting up after a firmware update especially, then you may need to do a battery recalibration.
- The first thing to try whenever you get battery woes is a reboot. just turn your phone off for 30 seconds (or pull the battery if you can) and then restart.
- If that doesn't work you can clear the cache partition through recovery and if all else fails backup all your apps and data and do a factory reset.
- If that still doesn't work you can download an app called Battery Calibration from the Play Store to reset your battery. Note: it requires root privileges
